Stone carved to look like wood is one of my favorite things in a cemetery..thought I'd share some of my favorite pics thereof.
Lil stumpy thing 'growing' out of the stone base, taken at Mountain Home Cemetery in Kalamazoo, MI:

This is the only one I've ever seen that looks like stacked logs (back view), taken at Riverside Cemetery in Kalamazoo, MI:

Tree/cross hybrid, taken at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Battle Creek, MI:

I love the ivy around the trunk & the weird branchy-thing going on at the top (closeup of the weird branchy thing)..taken at Oak Hill Cemetery in Battle Creek, MI:

Book leaning against a log - taken at Pilgrim Home Cemetery in Holland, MI (front view):

Stump, also taken at Pilgrim Home..the detail amazes me, with the bark peeling away from the stump (back view):
